Postal life insurance is a savings and insurance project launched by the government in the 5th.

The Bangladesh Postal Department operates this service only on behalf of the Internal Resources Department of the Ministry of Finance.
The government does not accept any share of the profits or losses from the acquired insurance funds.

At the end of the term life insurance is paid at the rate of Tk. 1 / - per 1 lakh per year and in the case of term insurance, at the rate of Tk.

Types of postal life insurance / policies
Life contract / life insurance: 3-5 years of age or death, whichever comes first; However, the money will be available after the death of the insured by his heirs.
Term Insurance: (2) (a) Specific age based insurance: Specific age based insurance eg 1, 3, 3, 4, 5, 5 years. In this case, if the insurer dies before the expiry, his heirs will receive the money. Even if the insurer survives, the money itself will be payable on maturity
(B) Fixed time based insurance: This insurance is taken for a fixed period of 3, 5, 6, 23, 23, 3 and 5 years.
Term Education and Marriage Insurance: The insurer may win the insurance to cover the cost of the child's education and marriage.
Defense Insurance: Members of Bangladesh Armed / Defense Forces (eg Army, BGB, Naval and Air Force) can avail this insurance for a fixed period of 1, 3, 6, 25, 23, 5 and 5 years. At present the upper limit is 1,3,3 / -, but this upper limit is in the process of increasing to 25,3,4 / -.
Accidental provision of sudden death and incapacity: In case of accidental death of an insured employee of a naval, infantry and air force, or if he lost two limbs or two eyes or one eye, according to this provision he has the option of paying the sum insured.
Policy Without Medical Examination: Post life insurance up to Tk 1,00,000 / - is available for purchase of policy without medical examination.
